Food Fun

Food-based activities for groups

Food Fun is focused on the exploration of food, including the role it plays in cultural traditions, rituals, gift giving, and of course sharing food truly brings people together – we are more likely to trust those with whom we share food, consequently it breaks down barriers and builds community.

The sharing of a meal or food moment can be a lovely, informal way of breaking down social barriers.
Food Fun was developed as a resource to support Group Coordinators in their immensely important, community-building work. It contains lots of interactive and innovative ideas based on food as a theme.

The art of living richly

From successful financial planner to renowned Health & Wellbeing Coach, Shavita Kotak is living proof of how investing in your physical and emotional wellbeing can lead to a life of riches beyond your imagination.

After escaping the clutches of corporate life in 2003 to embark on a 6-month journey to India, Shavita experienced how a healthy mind, body and spirit could lead to a life of unlimited possibility, freedom and inner happiness. Upon returning to Australia and completing a certificate 3 and 4 in fitness, Shavita now invests her inspiring, life-changing knowledge for ‘living richly’ into a variety of clients, from corporate executives and business owners to multitasking mums and children.

Further cementing her reputation as an in-demand practitioner, in August 2017 Shavita was invited to join the Essendon Football Club’s ‘Embracing India’ campaign, guiding Essendon players and staff through a workshop to demonstrate how ancient Yoga and meditation techniques could elevate their game and daily lives.

Wellness coach, personal trainer, Pilates and Yoga instructor, whole food enthusiast and mother, Shavita embodies what it is to live life to the full.
